During this pandemic, how are you and your necklaces? How has fashion changed in the past year during the Covid-19 Pandemic? 2020 was a transformative year in technology, trends, and fashion and is continuing until today. As for jewelry, even if we stay home most of the time, our relationship with them could still be one full of love and affection.
What do we need to know?
We couldn’t deny it, our reality has changed over the past year, and new norms have been set. At this point, we have all gotten used to washing our hands or hearing/reading “wash your hands” all over. Masks have become a necessity, and these have also made earrings a little difficult to wear. Rings have also been put aside due to constant contact with water or hand sanitizers. What is one accessory that we can still use whether we’re going out or just staying in? Yes, it’s the necklace!
The necklace!
The “neck mess” can be seen on many celebrities, and as we stay at home, we can always wear our version of these necklaces. Layering continues to be a consistent trend, and it allows you to wear them all simultaneously.
If you are not into layering, big, chunky ones are good choices too. It is undeniable that these accessories provide joy each day, especially during tough times.
Loungewear + Necklace
Gone are the days of business casual wear and dressy outfits for dinner, and most of us have switched to loungewear. At least for those who are working from home. However, we can always stay in fashion and avoid being bored even in our loungewear. How? Accessorize! Bring in the necklaces. We can also bring in the earrings as we’re not always using our masks when we’re home. The rings, too. But we should still not forget to wash our hands often.
Tops for those Zoom meetings
I have some Zoom tops in my closet that I only use during those so-called meetings. This is also a perfect time to accessorize. The necklace would still be the life of the party as the focus of the camera is straight at it. The earrings can play their part too, as we are not wearing masks during those meetings. The key is finding something that is polished and yet comfortable. Attention-getting but elegant.
Covid-19 has made us accessorize in unique ways.
It has created a need for women to look for untainted ways to function without sacrificing fashion. While the rings are taking a backseat, the necklaces and earrings are in the forefront. Even if we are home most of the time, let us always exert effort to look good and feel good. So take out those necklaces and other accessories. Mix and match them even if you’re going to the next room or preparing dinner for the family. Flaunt them. It will make them happy. It will make you happier too.
