I can hear you complaining about not having time to dress up in the morning. I know the story; It takes too much time to put an outfit together, and that is why you stay the whole day with your ugly worn-out yoga pants and T-shirt. Guilty?! You can be free of that. From now on, you’re going to have to drop your excuses pantalones. In fact, for this outfit, you only need ten minutes to get dressed easily and be beautifully ready for the day. Trust me, it can be done.
Say no for distractions.
This is how I got this outfit together.
Last Friday morning, I got distracted working out. Literally, I lost track of time. Soon I got inside the house, I realized I was sooo late to get my son ready for school. I had no more than fifteen minutes to have my son and myself ready for the day.
I thought I could just take him to school and later, when I’m back home, I could take a shower and get dressed. But lately, I have tried everything in my power not to do that! Because I knew, making that choice, it would quickly turn to distraction. As a result, I would end up doing the house errands or other things that are not related to my business.
Make your business is your priority
In all honesty, house errands are not my focus right now. The facto, it gets to my nerves. So much that, I really want to drop the house chores so I can give my time and attention to my business.
With that in mind, I can’t go any forward before I say this. Especially, If you’re a stay at home growing a business. Please pay attention to me; stop worrying about having your house all organized.
Unfortunately, house errands never end up, so ruthless. In short, if you’re not careful about it, It will take all your precious time away from your business. Be smart, stay with the important ones just to keep you home liveable. In that case, make a list of the essentials, schedule it. Whatever happens, stick with that list.
Don’t overthink your outfit
Well, good thing I have strong will power. Soon after, I walked out the door with a well thought out outfit! Truly, I felt I was ready to confidently take on the day!
From this practicality, I realized that I shouldn’t overthink my outfit anymore. And so, to keep up with my daily schedule. Even more, I had to get smart and figure out a way to get myself ready for the day like a flash.
Here’s how to get dressed and fell beautifully ready for the day
Firstly, I set a timer for fifteen minutes and told myself: “Lady, you can do this!” Then, I started with my son’s outfit and served him breakfast. That took me five minutes. While my son was eating breakfast; I had time to take a shower, brush teeth, choose the clothes, to dress up, to put on mascara, plus lipstick. And,Wa-laaaa, I was ready! And that took me nine minutes.
I gave myself a little pat on the back, looked at the mirror, and said: “Vida, you’re terrific!”
Getting dressed easily
1-Go for basic dark colors, and keep it simple. Look for the elastic button down, so you don’t waste time zippering it up. I chose this free from defined structure top, so I couldn’t have the chance to see and think about how to disguise those love handles around my waist.
2-A flat shoe to give you more stability for the morning race.
3-Essential touch with accessories! I chose Vidart & Life jewelry pieces from my own jewelry creation. An elastic bracelet, a clasp free long necklace, and tada!
Try to keep in mind that long necklaces that you just have to put over your head without the inconvenience of open and closing small clasps will save you a lot of time.
4-Thus, there are no more items. You’re good to go, lady! And go through the day in complete comfort.
Get dressed easily and be beautifully ready for the day = practicality
Later that Friday, I went to the beauty salon to get my hair done. After, I went to a bar-restaurant for a happy hour with my husband. I was wearing the same outfit. The only thing I changed was my flat shoes. I slipped into something more fitting for the night and shifted to high heels!
The animal print high heel pumps gave my basic look a touch of elegance! Just enough, for an extra sparkly that evening, and it didn’t take me a long time to look fantastic!
So, there you go. On top of what I usually say, you don’t have to break the bank to look more expensive and stylish. In this instance, it also doesn’t take a lot of time to put together an outfit that can take you from day to night!
Take note of this, I only had fifteen minutes to work with and put all these together. Confidently, I knew I could pull that off, and I did. So, If I can do it, so can you!
