If you spend the extra time at any store, you probably find a piece of outerwear that looks superior quality even if the tag shows an affordable price. Today I’ll show you how to stylish and how to feel beautiful wearing an affordable target dress. Even better, I’ll give you a couple of hints on what to look for when shopping for affordable clothing.

As a matter of fact, the most significant trademark of quality clothes is construction, not the price tag. Thus, an expensive dress that is made with quality material and poorly sewn isn’t good quality. In that case, It’s nothing more than just expensive. 

However, clothes that fit nicely, also it is durable, and put together well, deserves a try on. Therefore, worth buying, even if it doesn’t have a brand name. I bet. It can still make you look stunning good.

When to shop for affordable clothes?

Moreover, clothes aren’t a financial investment. In fact, it never gains value. On the other hand, it’s an investment in your appearance and self-confidence. But, always remember that expensive things don’t mean quality. In the end, “All that glitter is not gold.” 

After all, not spending money on costly clothes helps you save money to spend on something that will provide you a better lifestyle. With this in mind, think this way: Now you’ll have more money to invest in your small business or on that vacation you have been planning for some time.

And so, every time you get a compliment from someone for your stunning beautiful _ low-cost dress. Hence, your brain follows up with other praise. And the second one will make you feel smart.

My affordable Target dress shopping adventure.

Although I am not a big spender. But even so, sometimes I like to shop at Vince Camuto store, BCBG, Banana Republic, Calvin Klein, Anthropologie, Free People. The two last ones are my favorites – I love their dresses. Though these stores are not the most expensive places to buy. And yet, I can tell you with the money that I spent at target shopping four outfits, I couldn’t get one single dress in those stores.

However, because I decided to invest more in my business and my entrepreneurship life. Since then, I have been looking for stores where I can find affordable clothes with good quality.

That being the case, last week, I went to Target. Soon after, I got there. I started looking at their clothes. And, I was able to find outfits that look pretty good and stylish, and the quality surprised me, not so bad at all.

On the other hand, shopping for affordable clothes, it will take more time, and you have to pay attention to the fabric construction. And, of course, It helps to learn how to recognize a quality piece of clothing looking at the finishes.

What to look for when shopping for an affordable dress

To begin with, check at the seams. Are they appropriately sewn? Do the test. Grip the fabric on both sides of the seam and pull lightly. If it’s not sewn correctly, the seams slightly pull apart. 

Secondly, check on the fabric construction. Touch it, feels it, and look at how it drapes. Try it on. It is soft and not itchy? Does it drapey against the skin?

A dress made with natural materials means better quality

When it’s about fabrics, then, I’m a purist, naturalist person. And when it comes to fabrics, for sure, natural always mean better quality. From my experience, a dress made out of 100% natural materials, it will feel better against the skin, wash better, looks better, and last longer. Of course, I don’t expect to find clothes made of 100% natural materials at target. But, at least a good percentage of cotton, linen or silk on it.

As a matter of fact, If I see on the tag that it’s made out of total synthetic materials like polyester, rayon, nylon, etc. Indeed, I won’t even try it on. I’ll put it back immediately. As well, you should do the same. 

It doesn’t matter how great the design looks. Or how expensive it cost. If it is made off a fake, crappy fabric, your outfit will look cheap. 

How to style & how to feel beautiful wearing an affordable Target dress?

Last but not least, don’t be afraid to accessorize your outfit and again, goes for the accessories that have a natural look. For instance, with this affordable dress I got at target, I styled paring it in two different ways.

First look; with a not cheap real leather red belt, and high heel sandals. So, I have these Sandals for a long time. It is made of cotton fabric, and if I remember well, I paid $10,00 on this pair of shoes. An excellent example of an affordable item but good quality. Lastly, I completed the look with this big Vidart & Life white bracelet to not be on the total match, match style. 

The second look; I went more classy, styling it with more quality accessories. Perhaps, you’re looking for a style you can leave the house in the morning to work. Then, after a long day working, you want to be ready for a night out with your friends without change a thing on your outfit. If that’s you, so this is the outfit inspiration you need.  

A Black pointy-toe pump is always a timeless appeal to classy and elegancy and leg-lengthening lift. You can’t go wrong wearing it. Especially if your option is more business casual attire. I’m wearing a Vidart and life long pendant necklace. However, if you’re a more delicate jewelry style, go for the pearls, diamond solitaire.
